Boundary Retracement Surveys – The process of retracing the footsteps of the original land surveyor to re-establish the original boundaries of a property based on legal descriptions, historical records, and physical evidence.

Marking Property Lines
Typically when preparing to build a fence or make improvements to a property the property owner or builder may want property lines marked to ensure that any new improvements do not encroach on building setback lines or neighboring properties. This typically will be added to a boundary retracement survey or subdivision.
